| Do the French really hate us? Depends who you encounter. Some are nice ... but there was this one hobo who held out his paper-bagged covered bottle of vodka on the train and said that we Americans have a chip on our shoulder. Then he said a bunch of French words that were probably curses. Also, there was this guy who took our picture ... then asked where we were from ... and I said New York.
