Jose San Martin = Another Liberator

Jose San Martin crossed the Andes and fought Spain for liberation of South America. San Martin was the first to declare Peru independent from Spain. However, Bolivar was the one who fought for it when Martin gave up power. Martin is also known for liberating Argentina. There are statues and monuments to him all over South America. Above is a square named for him in Lima.
