Mr. Klaff has written around 200 songs - many of which are history songs. Here are the
just some of the songs you have sung in class. Some of the songs are available for downloading - so you can cruise down Port Blvd with the top down, screaming out the lyrics to "Causes of the Civil War."
(Remember - songs and

THIS WAS RECORDED IN
FRONT OF A LIVE AUDIENCE. IF YOU LISTEN CLOSELY, YOU CAN HEAR THEM
SCREAMING FOR ME!!!!
Chorus:
The Colonists got mad
when the redcoats came attacking.
Then they fought a war, and the British were sent packing.
1776, we declared Independence.
England refused to recognize a n ation.
Taxed the colonies, denied representation.
They passed the Stamp Act, Townsend, Intolerable Acts.
They gave us cheap tea, but we through it in the sea,
Our new flag unfurled, with the shot heard round the world.
Chorus.
So in Massachusetts, ships came over tide.
A light shine in window, then Paul Revere’s ride.
Old guys signed the Declaration, a Philadelphia creation.
General George, stood tall at Valley Forge.
Through the foggy air, he crossed the Delaware.
Chorus
Patriots proved, too much for the Royal Crown
Won at Saratoga, stood tall at Yorktown.
Colonists would dance, when a treaty was signed in France.
Through freedom’s gates, we became united states.
So ends the revolution, next came the Constitution.
Chorus.
