MILLER PARK, MI WISCONSIN -- Almost every sports team has their mascot. One of my favorites is Bernie Brewer in Milwaukee. Check out the picture below. It was taken after a Brewer home run. When a Brewer hits a roundtripper, Bernie slides down this long yellow tube, and lands into a big mug of Miller Beer. Well, at least that was the deal during the early 80s and 90s. Now, I think he just slides down the tube. Milwaukee's Miller Park is beautiful. Plus, everyone is friendly -- we showed up late, and no one was checking parking, or tickets. One of the attractions in Milwaukee is that their broadcaster is Bob Uecker. Besides broadcasting, you may remember him from being the announcer in Major League. Also, he starred in the 1980s hit show, Mr. Belvedere. Unfortunately for the Brewers, they don't have the billions of dollars the Yankee$ have, so they can't go out and buy overrated relief pitchers like Steinbrenner can. Oh well, at least they can have some farm fresh cheese after the games.
