Arizona
has a lot of rich Native American History. Once you reach Arizona,
it's worth checking out some of the interesting stops for shopping,
culture, and history. That's where I took these pictures.
Arizona is home to 21 federally recognized tribes. Together, the
tribes contribute to the rich cultural diversity of Arizona. The
state is home to over 250,000 Native Americans (2000 Census).
Reservations and tribal communities comprise o ver
a quarter of Arizona's lands. Some of the famous tribes include the
Apache, the La Paz, the Mohave, and the Navajo. The Navajo were
instrumental in WWII, as with their help, the US code could not be
broken by the Germans.
