How could the EOP work with the Independent Agencies?

Answer: Let’s say there was a security threat in the United States. The President can consult the head of the National Security Council (in the EOP), and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director (outside of EOP). If inflation is an issue, the President can talk to the Council of Economic Advisors (EOP), as well as the Federal Reserve Board (outside of EOP). If there’s an environmental calamity, both the Council on Environmental Quality (EOP) and the EPA (outside EOP) can help.
