I really don't have much to say about Alabama ... But while we sat in traffic on the highway, we saw VP candidate John Edwards on a Kerry for President Bus. Alabama is known for its laid-back atmosphere. Here we are taking a breather on some Alabama rocking chairs -- the locals then saw our NY license plates, and chased us out of town with shovels. We did see Montgomery, which has it's historical roots in the Bus Boycott, and Rosa Park's legendary stand. But otherwise, much of Alabama is still fighting an ideological Civil War. Confederate flags unfortunately still wave in Dixie.
